According to the results of Google’s annual trends report, the top trending vacation destination in 2019 in the US was the Maldives, while the most geographically challenging location in the world for Americans, was Sri Lanka.
Google released the results of its annual “Year in Search” report, which is based on the search terms that experienced the biggest growth compared to the year before, across different categories.
The results of 2019 suggest that in the US, holidaymakers fantasized most about vacationing in the Maldives, followed by Japan, Bora Bora, Las Vegas and Mexico.
And when it comes to geography, the country that eluded Americans the most was Sri Lanka, which was the top “Where is” query on Google this year.
