THE SUN SIYAM IRU FUSHI
Our seaplane gently tilts right as we catch sight of the Sun Siyam Iru Fushi. Emerald-green tropical vegetation is encircled by an azure-blue lagoon. Coconut-thatched villas snake out over the water in a wide arch, and as we begin our descent, we see cabins tucked away amidst the exotic shrubs boardering the deserted beach.
The resort’s luxury villas elegantly combine contemporary features with tropical touches. It’s no surprise that a one-bedroom beach villa starts at $500 per night at this exclusive resort, which was recently rebranded as Sun Siyam Iru Fush.Since the rebranding, the renowned spa has added a massive 66 new treatments to its repertoire of 146 therapies.
The resort’s mission is to offer an exotic blend of luxury facilities with authentic Maldivian-inspired experiences. This was evident right from the start, when we were given a warm Maldivian welcome, complete with chilled towels and refreshing ice-cold drinks. The resort offers many cultural excursions under the ‘GIVE’ philosophy (Get Involved, Visionary Experiences), including trips to inhabited islands, which the resort supports.
Both families and romantic getaways are catered for with adult-only venues and the leading Kids Club in the Maldives.
