The island, part of the Hilton portfolio, reached global noteriety with the 2005 opening of the Ithaa, the world's first undersea restaurant
The Conrad Rangali Island is now continuing that tradition of breaking the mold with the Muraka, the world's first undersea residence
The Muraka is a two level private residence that comprises above sea and undersea levels
The project required a total investment of $15 million, including the coral regeneation project that is taking place around the location of the residence
The undersea bedroom area measures 100 square meters and includes a king size bed, bathroom and spiral staircase that can be accessed from the above sea living room
The above sea level of the Muraka has a king bedroom, twin bedroom, and a butler's and private security quarters
There is even a deck and pool area that measures 135 square feet
Truely, the Muraka is just one of many reasons to visit this iconic property of the Maldives
